Melanie Steele, vice president of operations for Walker-Miller Energy Services LLC, recently earned certification as a Building Analyst Professional from Building Performance Institute Inc., a national standards development and accreditation organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit work. Walker-Miller Energy Services is a tenant and business accelerator program client at TechTown.

Steele, who has been with the company since 2009, will leverage her new certification to work specifically on problem-solving energy solutions for residential consumers. She will oversee the company’s strategic move to expand energy management and conservation plans to residential customers; services include residential home energy audits and other energy efficient solutions.
