Carole Johnson, founder of CYJ Enterprises takes center stage in a new CNN video examining the perks and perils of being a small business owner in Detroit. Johnson, a former engineer for Compuware, formed her infotech company in 2005. She is focused on developing software to help schools and daycare centers provide real-time emergency notices to parents and others. Check out what Carole told CNN and see if you agree.

I am so very proud of Ms. Carole Johnson. She presented sessions for both youth and parents during our “What’s the Math in This?” conferences this past fall. Each participant was excited to meet someone with her skills and creativity.

Glad to see the SmartStart program results firsthand.
