University of Windsor's Odette School of Business

FEBRUARY 3, 2010: TechTown has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada to promote cross-border business among startups in Ontario and Southeast Michigan. As part of the agreement, TechTown and the University of Windsor will exchange emerging companies looking to explore international markets and student interns seeking international business experience. To learn more about this collaboration, read a Crain’s article here.

Other TechTown collaborations with Canada include the North American Public Health Institute (NAPHI), which studies health outcomes on either side of the Detroit river and examines differences in the occurrence of cancer, poverty, homelessness and other public health matters. Read more about NAPHI here.

One particular area that TechTown and the University of Windsor have been exploring together is working with Chinese businessmen to explore manufacturing and distribution opportunities in Canada.
