Speaker: Harry Whalen, manager of International Business Development--New Markets for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, will be the featured speaker at the Michigan India Chamber of Commerce’s first meeting at TechTown. Whalen will discuss aspects of doing business with India. He has been involved in investment missions to India, China, Japan and Korea and separately to Germany, serving as senior State of Michigan representative for the MEDC. He serves as State Government Chair of the Michigan Global Partnership, a confederation of economic development organizations and private sector service providers with an interest in Asian investment. Whalen is the State of Michigan’s board member for the Midwest U.S. Japan Association, and also serves on the International Board of Visitors at Wayne State University and the Advisory Board of the Center for International Business Education (CIBE) at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
