As the founder of GradeCheck Corporation, an academic coaching service, Sheila McBride knows the value of listening and responding to customer needs.
Customers, McBride says, were the driving force behind her team’s recent decision to provide an expanded website. “Taking into careful consideration the feedback of the students, parents and educators currently using GradeCheck, we are proud to announce the launch of enhanced services on www.gradecheck.net ,” said McBride, founder and CEO of GradeCheck.
Launched on April 23, GradeCheck’s enhanced services include a new interactive app called the ” What If ” calculator, a feature that allows students to create a series of academic scenarios that will meet their personal academic goals. The “What If” calculator is an interactive application that allows students to input their future course selections, set their desired grade point average (GPA) and save and retrieve their information. The calculator then provides the student with a variety of ways to reach their desired GPA. The student then determines what action steps are needed to stay on track.
In addition, the “What If” calculator visually represents for the student the impact individual course grades have on their overall academic performance.
“These enhancements provide our users with the ability to stay up-to-date with the academic performance levels they need to achieve in order to take advantage of the variety of post-secondary opportunities available,” says Jeffrey Poulsen, CIO of GradeCheck.
