Parking

TechTown has a small, marked parking lot on the east side of the building (at Burroughs and Cass); the entry is off Burroughs Street. Parking in this lot is free for visitors, but limited.

You may also use the MDOT lot on Amsterdam between Woodward and Cass, which is one block north. That lot is free for visitors and well-marked.

There is often free street parking available on both Cass and York (just south of Burroughs).

Directions

Lodge Freeway (from the north)

• Take the Lodge Freeway (M-10) south and exit at West Grand Boulevard.
• Proceed to the light and make a left to cross over the Lodge.
• Proceed on West Grand Boulevard to Cass Avenue. Turn right at Cass.
• Proceed on Cass Avenue to Burroughs. Turn right at Burroughs.
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

Lodge Freeway (from the south)

• Take the Lodge Freeway (M-10) north and exit at Milwaukee.
• Proceed a very short distance to Milwaukee and make a right. Proceed on Milwaukee to Cass (third light). Turn right.
• Proceed on Cass to Burroughs. Turn right at Burroughs.
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

I-94 (from the east)

• Take I-94 west to John R/Woodward exit (right side).
• Continue on the service drive to Woodward Avenue.
• Turn right on Woodward Avenue and go to the first street on the left, Burroughs (there’s a TechTown sign at this corner).
• Turn left on Burroughs and go 1-½ blocks (just past Cass Avenue) .
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

I-94 (from the west)

• Take I-94 to exit 215C for M-1/Woodward Ave toward John R Street.
• Turn right at John R.
• Turn right at the next block, Hendrie Avenue.
• Turn right again at Woodward Avenue (you are circling because of one-way streets).
• Go to the first street on the left, Burroughs (there’s a TechTown sign at this corner).
• Turn left on Burroughs and go 1½ blocks (just past Cass Avenue)
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

I-96 (from the west)

• Take I-96 east to exit 190A, I-94 east (toward Port Huron).
• Exit at 215C for M-1/Woodward Avenue toward John R Street.
• Turn right at John R.
• Turn right at the next block, Hendrie Avenue.
• Turn right again at Woodward Avenue (you are circling because of one-way streets).

I-75 (from the north)

• Take I-75 south and exit at Clay Street. Cross over Clay to the service drive and proceed until you arrive at West Grand Boulevard. Turn right on West Grand Boulevard.
• Proceed on West Grand until you arrive at Cass (you will cross Woodward Avenue). Turn left onto Cass.
• Proceed on Cass Avenue to Burroughs. Turn right at Burroughs.
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

I-75 (from the south)

• Take I-75 north and exit at Lodge Freeway north (M-10).
• Take the Lodge Freeway (M-10) north and exit at Milwaukee.
• Proceed a very short distance to Milwaukee and make a right. Take Milwaukee to Cass Avenue (third light) and turn right.
• Proceed on Cass to Burroughs. Turn right at Burroughs.
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.

From Downtown Detroit

• Take Woodward Avenue north (past I-94) .
• Turn left on Burroughs (prior to reaching West Grand Boulevard).
• Proceed on Burroughs and cross Cass Avenue.
• Entrance to Burroughs Street parking lot is on the right.
